Guide

Paper Templates, Tints and Background Images

Start from a ready template, then change tint, border or upload a background—everything stays in your browser.

Template library vs designer

The template library is for discovery and SEO-friendly ready looks (classroom, kids, letters, notes, practice starters). The generators are for precise control: ruling, margins, headers, tint, borders and uploaded images.

Tint, border and custom color

Pale tints (cream, sage, sky…) keep ink low. Decorative borders sit outside the writing band so line spacing stays accurate at Actual size. Custom color lets you match a classroom theme without uploading a photo.

Upload a background image

Choose Upload background image, pick a PNG or JPEG, and the page uses it as a full-page backdrop. Clear it with the red × next to the file name. Pair with a light border or none if the photo already frames the page. Print at Actual size so handwriting lines stay true.

Frequently asked questions

What is the template library?

A browseable set of ready writing-paper and practice designs. Each card has its own page; download a PDF or open Customize in the generator.

Can I upload my own background?

Yes. In the paper or worksheet designer, use Upload background image with a PNG or JPEG. The file is not sent to a server.

Do backgrounds work on handwriting worksheets?

Yes. Tracing sheets and math charts share the same style panel for tint, custom color, border and background image.

Where do I start?

Open the template library, pick a design, then Customize—or go straight to lined paper and set tint and border there.
