The Chinese nine-nine table lists 45 unique facts from 1×1 to 9×9 in a lower triangle—the same facts children chant as 口诀.

The triangle layout
Row 1 has 1×1; row 2 has 1×2 and 2×2; row 9 ends with 9×9. Reading down teaches the spoken order many Chinese curricula use. Because multiplication is commutative, those 45 lines are enough for every fact through nine.
Rhyme lines or number sentences
Rhyme style prints textbook phrases (一一得一, 七八五十六). Number style prints familiar Arabic sentences. Use a filled page as a desk reference and a blank or partially blank page as a timed quiz.
Print and practise
The nine-nine table generator prints the full triangle in landscape on one Letter or A4 page so each column stays readable. For a full square grid up to 12 or 15, switch to the multiplication chart.
Frequently asked questions
How many facts are in the nine-nine table?
Forty-five: every pair where 1 ≤ a ≤ b ≤ 9. That covers every product through 9×9 without repeating commutative pairs.
How is it different from a 9×9 chart?
A square chart shows every cell twice (3×4 and 4×3). The nine-nine table keeps only the lower triangle, matching Chinese classroom rhyme order.
Can I print Chinese rhyme lines?
Yes. Choose Chinese rhyme style for phrases such as 三四十二 and 二五一十, or Arabic style for 3×4=12.
Where can I print a nine-nine table?
Open the nine-nine table generator, pick the style and filled or blank, then print or download a PDF.
